Accurate measurements are crucial for ensuring a proper fit for your new wardrobe or storage solution. Here’s a few tips to help you get started:
- Measure the height, width, and depth of the area where the wardrobe will be installed.
- Measure the height on the left side of the space, the middle of the space and the right side of the space.
- Measure the width at the top of the space, the middle of the space and at the bottom of the space
- Take into account any obstacles or features such as windows, doors, or electrical outlets that may affect the placement of the wardrobe.
- Consider the height of the ceiling and the desired height of your wardrobe.
- Make a rough sketch or floor plan of the area to help visualise the placement of the wardrobe.
Accurate measurements are the key to a successful installation, so be sure to take your time and double-check your measurements before proceeding. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact our team for help.

Want to see The Wardrobe Man’s Elite Modular system in person? You’re in luck! Our Perth showroom features over 200 sqm of wardrobe displays for you to browse and get inspiration for your own custom wardrobe.
We’re open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm and Saturday mornings from 9am to 12 noon, and we welcome drop-ins anytime.
Alternatively, you can make an appointment with one of our designers to help you design a functional walk in wardrobe, built in wardrobe or a storage solution.
Can’t make it to our Perth showroom? No problem – we also have a display at Home Base in Subiaco, which is open 7 days a week.
Choosing the right colour for your new wardrobe or storage solution can be a difficult decision. We do offer samples to help you make the best choice for your space.
You can drop by our showroom at 5/55 Prindiville Drive in Wangara to see the colours in person, or you can order a sample directly from Formica.
Our standard colours can also be found at Formica’s website, making it easy to preview your options and find the perfect match for your home.
Our shelves are designed to be easily movable, allowing you to adjust your storage configuration as your needs change. Moving the shelves is a simple process that only requires a 4mm Allen Key.
With the key, you can easily unlock the brackets and reposition the shelves anywhere up or down the post. While it’s possible to move the shelves on your own, it may be easier with two people – one to hold the shelf and the other to hold the brackets open and fix them in place.
We offer free delivery for orders over $1,000 within the Perth Metro Area, with delivery usually taking place on Saturday mornings. If you live outside of this area, shipping charges will apply and will be based on the weight and cubic size of your order.
We typically use Toll Ipec to ship orders across Australia, but if you have a preferred shipping company, we’re happy to accommodate your request.
It’s important to note that once the goods leave our factory, we cannot be held liable for any damage that may occur during shipping. We’ll do our best to package the goods on a pallet to ensure safe delivery, but once they arrive at your location, you may need to unpack the pallet by hand if you don’t have a forklift available.
Yes. We understand you want to match your custom wardrobe to your existing décor or choose a specific woodgrain or colour that isn’t part of our standard range. That’s why we offer the option to use different Laminex, Formica, or Polytec colors and finishes to create a truly unique storage solution for your home.
If you have a specific colour or finish in mind, simply let us know and we can get a price to you. We also recommend using 25mm thick boards for the shelves for maximum durability and stability. For more information on customising your wardrobe with alternative colors and finishes, or to discuss alternative products, fill out our contact form and we’ll be in touch.
